MIAMI, FL  -  North Shore Medical Center, a Steward Family Hospital, announced that Thomas (Tom) Dunning has been named as North Shore Medical Center President.

Tom has a broad range of experience and skills. With over 24 years of progressive health care experience, Tom has demonstrated exceptional operational results, an entrepreneurial acumen, programmatic development success, physician relationship skills, and community involvement. Tom has worked in small and large markets and is no stranger to Florida.

The month of November always reminds us to be thankful and this year, our NICU has 5 additional reasons. 4moms has generously donated 5 mamaRoo^® multi-motion baby swings to our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. These swings move the way a parent would when babies can't be in the arms of mom or dad, providing great comfort to the infant.

This month's DAISY recipient at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas is Bryce Hollier, an RN in the ICU!

Bryce demonstrated the utmost compassionate care for one family going through one of the hardest times of their lives. Multiple family members felt compelled to recognize him for the amazing work he did and the care he provided to their dad while he was in our care.

“Bryce took care of my dad and was such a phenomenal nurse. He was very educational and supportive with my family and I while my dad was on the vent. He deserves recognition for all his amazing work!”

Announcing the Sunshine Award recipient for September 2022 is Vonda Hollingshead, from the Dietary team at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Vonda was nominated by numerous physicians because of her helpfulness and attention to detail. The amount of care she provides by taking care of the doctor's dietary needs has not gone unnoticed and we're glad to award her this month's Sunshine Award. On Tuesday, November 15 at 5pm, Trumbull Regional and Sharon Regional Medical Center will host a free cardiac panel discussion and heart health screening event at Avalon at Squaw Creek. The cardiac panel will be made up of experts from the hospital’s heart teams including Interventional Cardiologists Shyam Bhakta, MD, Chinedu Angela Iwge, MD, Fadi Naddour, MD, as well as Randy Metcalf, MD, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, and George Joseph, MD, Electrophysiologist.

7 November 2022 – Throughout October, which was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Steward Health Care Malta (SHCM) organised a series of activities at Gozo General Hospital (GGH) as part of Pink October, during which healthcare workers and the public could obtain correct information on breast care and learn about what support is available to women diagnosed with breast cancer.
