Robert Horry Sports Medicine at St. Joseph Medical Center is offering these physicals for $15 on Saturday, August 18 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. St. Joseph physicians will check the athlete's vitals, joints, flexibility and vision. A short fitness assessment will also be included. 

Steward Health Care Malta has today officially inaugurated the newly-refurbished reception area at Karin Grech Hospital. The inauguration was celebrated on-site and included the participation of the President of Steward Health Care International, Dr Armin Ernst, COO of Steward Malta, Dr Nadine Delicata, and CEO of Karin Grech Hospital, Dr Stephen Zammit.  

Mercury players Camille Little, Yvonne Turner, Stephanie Talbot, Marie Gulich and Angel Robinson visited patients at Mountain Vista Medical Center, a Steward Family Hospital, in advance of the team’s “Rock the Pink” breast health awareness night on August 10. 

Carney Hospital Welcomes New Hospital President

Asthma, according to Dr. Charles Fischman of the Steward Medical Group in Vero Beach, “is one of the few disease entities in the United States now that is on the increase,” which is not good news.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says upwards of 26 million Americans currently have this disease, and admits “we don’t know why” the number of cases are climbing.

Fischman, who describes himself as “one of a handful of living pulmonary immunologists who have done both pulmonary, and allergy and immunology fellowships and are board-certified in both areas,” concurs.
