I Am Good Samaritan - Steve Clohecy, SECURITY

Our special needs son was recently admitted through the Emergency Room, which was quite agitating for him. He is only 8 years old and having his routine interrupted by a hospital visit was challenging for us all. We need to thank Steve from security who went out of his way to make our son feel comfortable. He talked with him, played catch with him, and brought him popsicles throughout his stay.

I Am Good Samaritan - Laura Sweeney, RN, NURSING 3A

“Spending a week confined to a hospital bed is seldom a happy occasion, but my treatment was satisfying thanks to those who cared for me. One nurse was outstanding. Laura attended cheerfully, professionally, and punctually to my needs, procedures, and medications. Her presence assured me that my illness was up against a formidable adversary! It seemed as though I had a private nurse, concerned only with getting me well.”

I Am Good Samaritan - Felix Fleurimond, INTERPRETER SERVICES

“I was recently traveling out of state when my mother was admitted to the hospital – she was very scared because her English is not very strong. Felix took such great care of my mom by making sure her meals were ordered properly and he visited her every morning just to check in on her. It made us feel great knowing that he was there when we could not be.”

I Am Good Samaritan - Melissa Macdonald-Kerr, LABORATORY–PHLEBOTOMY

“My mother was treated at Good Samaritan Medical Center for pneumonia and I wanted to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the staff. Melissa showed skill in her craft when she recognized the pink bracelet indicating which arm could not be used to collect blood, then she painlessly drew the sample. I have high accolades for the ancillary staff that facilitated the recovery of my mother.”
