St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Awards Scholarships to Three Allston and Brighton Residents

St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center congratulates the three recipients of the annual St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Scholarship to benefit local residents pursuing health care-related higher education. The three recipients are Leah Buckley attending the MGH Institute of Health Professionals, Taylor Hanley attending St. Anslem College and Ciara O'Shea attending University of Connecticut.

Dr. Weinstein, a cardiologist, has been a practicing physician for nearly three decades. Steward’s first Chief Medical Officer Justine Carr recently retired, leaving a legacy of improvements at Norwood Hospital that have benefited Norwood area families. Dr. Weinstein expressed his commitment to continuing this progress.

Steward has been a national leader in promoting the accountable care model, demonstrating improved patient outcomes and helping to contain cost increases, including through its participation in the groundbreaking Medicare Pioneer ACO.
