In a total knee replacement procedure, however, there’s now ample evidence that tourniquets may actually do more harm than good.

For Larry from Everett, Massachusetts, the stress and worry associated with a possible lung cancer diagnosis was like nothing else he ever faced in his life.
Larry first learned of a possible concern when doctors found a mass on his thymus, a small organ located beneath the breastbone that is included in the lymphatic system. This mass, or thymoma, would be part of his life until late 2017.
“I had an x-ray where they found the mass and then immediately the thought of cancer comes up and won’t go away,” said Larry.
ORMC To Host Crosstown Rivalry Tailgate
Odessa Regional Medical Center, a Steward family hospital, will host a free crosstown rivalry tailgate before the Odessa High School Bronchos versus Permian Panthers football game on Friday, October 12, 2018. The tailgate will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be held in both Ratliff Stadium parking lots.

TRMC one of five in the state to earn Advanced Certification for Inpatient Diabetes Program
The Joint Commission has granted the Inpatient Diabetes Program at Trumbull Regional Medical Center with advanced certification.
The hospital is one of only 85 in the United States and one of five in Ohio to earn the distinguished certification—and the only facility in the Mahoning Valley to receive the designation.
The certification cycle is customarily valid for up to 24 months. The Inpatient Diabetes Program at Trumbull Regional been certified since 2010.
