Free sports physicals for your high school student
It’s back-to-school time, and that means it’s also the beginning of high school sports and the need for sports physicals. Mountain Vista Medical Center & Desert Grove Family Medical are teaming up to offer free sports physicals for east Valley high school students Sat. Sept. 16th, including incoming freshmen.

The standard Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) sports physical remains valid for high school athletics during the entire 2017-18 school year.

Nurses Perform Heroics in Houston

Hospitals don’t take days off. That’s become more obvious as reports detailing hospital heroics come in from in and around Houston following Hurricane Harvey. At St. Joseph Medical Center in downtown Houston, some nurses and doctors worked for nearly a week, and some hadn’t even been back home after the hurricane hit, according to an NPR report.
