HOUSTON (April 14, 2020) – Due to the widespread threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19) many patients who need life-saving care are not seeking the help they need when every minute counts. If you are experiencing symptoms of stroke or heart attack, you are encouraged to call 911 or have someone bring you to the nearest emergency room.

Essential Medical Staff Travel to Massachusetts as the Number of COVID-19 Cases are Expected to Surge in the Next Several Weeks

Skilled Steward Health Care registered nurses and respiratory therapists will provide the additional support needed for the next two to four weeks.

Arizona- A team of skilled medical care staff from Steward Health Care in Arizona are traveling to their sister facilities in Massachusetts.  The team made up of registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and licensed practical nurses will be supporting their sister hospitals for the next two to four weeks assisting in the care of COVID-19 patients that is expected to surge in the next several weeks.

Ayodele Olowookere, MD

A Board-Certified OB/GYN, Dr. Ayodele Olowookere received his Medical Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife, Nigeria, and completed an internship at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital. He completed residency at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Waterford Regional Hospital in Waterford, Ireland, and Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Olowookere is licensed in Ireland, Nigeria, Ohio, and Texas.

Jennifer Boyle, MD

A Board-Certified OB/GYN, Dr. Jennifer Boyle received a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and Medical Degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and is licensed in Texas. Dr. Boyle will provide on-site leadership as the Site Director of Ob Hospitalists for the Odessa Regional Medical Center team.
