The American Heart Association presents Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus award for commitment to prioritizing quality care for stroke patients

WEST MONROE, LA — Glenwood Regional Medical Center has received the American Heart Association’s Gold Plus Get With The Guidelines^®-Stroke Quality Achievement Award for their commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized research-based guidelines.

[August 26, 2021, Sebastian, FL] – The Clinical Sciences Institute of Optum, the health services platform of UnitedHealth Group, has designated Sebastian River Medical Center’s bariatric program an Optum Bariatric Center of Excellence.

In collaboration with the humanitarian organization AMRF, Morton Hospital was pleased to recently donate 20 mechanical hospital beds to help support patient care at health care facilities in Guatemala.

Breast cancer and osteoporosis are two common conditions prevalent in women. The likelihood of a successful outcome is often dependent on the early detection of both diseases. 

“As a general rule, women should start having regular mammograms around the age of 40, and bone density scans around age 65,” said Anuradha Aparasu, MD, an internal medicine specialist with Steward Medical Group.
