The educational program of the anesthesia residency is designed to meet the criteria of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA,) as well as our department's own educational goal: to train the next generation of excellent anesthesiologists, who will be high performers in a fast-paced comunity practice setting, leaders within their practices, and yet can also thrive in a demanding academic practice as well.

Salaries and Benefits

The salaries of the resident staff at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center are comparable to those provided at other hospitals in the Boston area.

Professional liability insurance is provided to all residents at no personal cost, as is term life and disability insurance. Health insurance for residents and their families is available at nominal employee cost. Residents receive three weeks of vacation a year.

The St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, Psychiatry Residency Training Program (categorical) participates in the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS), developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges.
