Becker’s Hospital Review has named Morton Hospital one of the "100 Great Community Hospitals" in the United States and The LeapFrog Group includes Morton Hospital as a 2013 Top Hospital for quality and patient safety.
Morton Hospital has recently opened a new, state-of-the-art $25 million Emergency Department (ED). This is the largest investment at Morton since Steward Health Care System (Steward) acquired the hospital in October 2011 and one of the largest projects ever completed by Steward in its entire system.
We are incredibly proud of this new Emergency Department at Morton Hospital since it will offer some of the highest quality and shortest wait times for patients needing emergency services in this area. By building a new ED from scratch, we were able to customize the design, layout and flow to best meet the needs of Taunton and its surrounding communities. Read more here.
