CT scans will be uploaded into the Fuji Synapse 3D software and the surgeons will map out a virtual surgery. This information will then be used to guide the participants scheduled liver resection surgery. Standard of care currently only uses CT scans to plan surgery. The study will want to investigate how 3D modeling can aid in surgical planning. There are no study visits. Participants will not have additional imaging, existing CT scans will be used for 3D reconstruction and modeling.

Purpose of Trial
This research is being done to evaluate how virtual liver resection surgery using Fujifilm Synapse 3D surgical modeling software impacts outcomes in liver resection surgery. Standard of care currently only uses CT scans to plan surgery; this study is to investigate how 3D modeling can aid in surgical planning. SYNAPSE 3D medical imaging software is approved by the FDA.
To be part of this research study because subjects must be evaluated for a possible hepatectomy (liver resection surgery) and a patient at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.
