(Sharon, PA) March 27, 2017 - The Sharon Regional School of Nursing is preparing for the next incoming class of nursing students who will be scheduled to graduate in the year 2020. That class represents the 118st graduating class from Sharon Regional’s School of Nursing since the School opened its doors in 1899 to offer a Registered Nurse Undergraduate Certification program and graduated its first class in 1901. Over the decades, the School of Nursing has continued to turn out qualified, experienced nurses who fill much needed nursing positions in a wide variety of health care settings. According to statistics from the state of Pennsylvania, the placement rate for students who completed the program is 100%.

Through an agreement with Penn State Shenango, Sharon Regional offers students a unique opportunity to seamlessly earn both a diploma in nursing from Sharon Regional and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Penn State Shenango campus. Additional articulation agreements are in place with Youngstown State and Slippery Rock universities. Approximately 95 percent of students enrolled in the School of Nursing qualify for and receive financial aid. Additionally, scholarships are available from a variety of sources.
