Holy Family Hospital has a new shuttle service for patients and visitors who need or would like assistance getting to hospital entrances on the Methuen campus.

The shuttle, a silver 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, is clearly marked with yellow lights on the roof, and signs on the passenger and driver side doors that read, “Holy Family Hospital Shuttle - A Ride to Better Health.”

The shuttle is driven by Holy Family Hospital security and operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The idea for the shuttle came from suggestions from patients and visitors, as well as hospital staff who expressed concern for sick and elderly patients, expectant mothers, and visitors who had to walk a distance to the hospital, especially during hot or inclement weather.

“Holy Family Hospital’s Methuen campus is large and vibrant which frequently makes it difficult to find an available parking spot close by a hospital entrance,” says Holy Family Hospital President Craig Jesiolowski, FACHE.  “Our patients, visitors and staff had valid concerns. They brought them to us and we took them seriously. We can’t thank our staff enough for caring so deeply about the well-being of our patients and visitors.”

Implementation for the shuttle service has been in process for a while and the hospital is pleased to have it up and running in time for the arrival of hot and humid summer months.
