To help with diagnosis, St. Elizabeth’s team is highly skilled at performing and evaluating the full range of standard tests and advanced studies available only in a limited number of other Boston-area hospitals.
Tests available in our neurophysiology lab include:
- EEG (electroencephalogram), used predominately for diagnosing seizure disorders
- EMG (electromyography), assesses the health of the muscles and the nerves that control them
- EP (evoked potential), evaluates sensory nerve signals through the eye, spinal cord and brain and used primarily in diagnosing multiple sclerosis
- Skin Biopsies
