The Neuromuscular Center at St. Elizabeth’s provides the latest treatments for patients suffering from nerve and muscle disease. 

Our team of expert physicians diagnose and treat the following conditions:

To help with diagnosis, St. Elizabeth’s team is highly skilled at performing and evaluating the full range of standard tests and advanced studies available only in a limited number of other Boston-area hospitals.

Tests available in our neurophysiology lab include:

  • EEG (electroencephalogram), used predominately for diagnosing seizure disorders
  • EMG (electromyography), assesses the health of the muscles and the nerves that control them
  • EP (evoked potential), evaluates sensory nerve signals through the eye, spinal cord and brain and used primarily in diagnosing multiple sclerosis
