The inpatient program offers a secure 20-bed adult unit for short-term crisis intervention, 14-bed adolescent unit and 16-bed geriatric program serving older adults. Operating under a multidisciplinary team approach, the focus of patient treatment is on:

Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
Outpatient behavioral health services at Carney Hospital include medication management, and individual, couples, group, and family counseling. Carney also operates a Clozapine Clinic, which addresses the needs of a specialty group of seriously and persistently mentally ill patients. The clinic provides:

  • Psychopharmacological treatment
  • Rehabilitation group therapy
