Steward Health Care Malta runs 3 hospitals across the Maltese Islands: Karin Grech Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Gozo General Hospital.

We are recruiting a Full time Employee Services Officer to join our dynamic health care team at Karin Grech Hospital.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the HR Business Partner;
  • Assisting in the formulation of internal procedures;
  • Assisting in the collection, analysis and compilation of statistical returns, reports, and submissions as requested by central authorities such as the Ministry of Health and any other authorities;
  • Supervising and contributing to the maintenance of updated records and databases for prompt retrieval of information;
  • Ensuring personal files are maintained and up to date, including filing of all relevant documents;
  • Processing necessary documentation in relation to engagements and terminations of employees;
  • Liaising with staff, management and finance on payroll related queries, conditions of service and any other HR issues;
  • Assisting in any tasks related to Performance/Appraisal Reports;
  • Maintaining an updated list of all training delivered to all employees;
  • Supporting in the coordination of training initiatives delivered within the hospital;
  • Providing requested information to the Health and Safety Officer and assisting in the compiling of relevant reports;
  • Processing requests relating to family-friendly measures and/or any special un/paid leaves or any other requests in relation to HR;
  • Contributing to the drafting and timely replies to any queries including Parliamentary Questions, the Ombudsman and any related/similar request for information;
  • Performing any other duties according to exigencies as directed by the HR Business Partner.

The selected candidate should have:

Education:

  • MQF level 4 or higher in a related field.
  • Knowledge of employment law and GDPR would be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of English and Maltese languages.

Work experience and knowledge:

  • 1+ years in an HR administration position or similar.
